Final Casting for Joseph!

We're pleased to announce we have completed our final round of casting for Joseph!

As always there was an extremely high standard of auditions, and the final decisions weren't easy. If you didn't achieve the role you were hoping for, please don't be too disheartened - in most cases we could have filled each space two or three times over.

Please note there is no relevance to which "Slot" you're in - cast is in alphabetical order within each role.

Just a couple of further notes regarding casting:

The General Brothers named will be the general brothers in every show.

The Narrators have not yet been allocated as specific narrators as this will be determined at camp.

All Extension Dancers and all leads except the Entr-acte Group are required to attend the full weekend at camp.

The Entr-acte group will be required to attend day camp on Sunday 6^th May from 10:30 am until we depart camp at approximately 4-4:30pm.

Joseph - Casting & Callbacks

We really enjoyed all of the auditions, it was great to see the level of talent we have in the cast, and we noticed a definite improvement from the first round!

We are pleased to announce we have cast the role of Joseph, congratulations to Hamish Mouat and Andrew Papas!

In order to complete our casting we will be running a round of callbacks - please note we're not calling back for every role, and just because your name isn't on this list doesn't mean you aren't being considered for a role - you may have already been cast. Please check the list carefully, as you may have been called back for a role different to the one you asked for, or for more than one role!

Here is the challenge round audition requirements. There will be a sign up sheet at rehearsals on Sunday. You must choose only one role to challenge for. First Round Casting

This has been an interesting first round to cast! Most of the casting still remains to be done in our challenge round.

Everyone is free to challenge for another role in our challenge round. We have assigned these roles now because we have complete confidence in the castmembers ability to portray that role now, but this doesn't mean we can't see them also playing another role by the time of the show.

The second round of casting will be far more involved, and we'll be working to bring out new talent, and casting more of our younger cast.

Please complete and either email the forms to sharlene@nytc.co.nz or hand in at the desk at rehearsals by Sunday 26th February. You must be 14 years of age AND have already completed an On Stage production to apply. Interviews will be conducted on Sunday 4th March with times to be advised.
